She was a 2014 recipient of a Bogliasco Fellowship in Italy, and her work is actively shown in one and two-person shows nationally as well as the SOFA Chicago.

She is currently chair of the Fine Arts department at John Burroughs School where she has worked since 1983. Ms Martin was educated at Fontbonne University, Washington University, the Maryland Institute College of Art and the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence.

Anne’s work, mostly large and small scale bronzes in the realist tradition deal with contemporary issues through traditional subject matter and a mix of the significant with the seemingly insignificant. The sculptures make perceptive observations...with delicacy, wit and accomplished technique... it is the works themselves, intimate and elegant with their rich patinaed surfaces, that first seduce and then reveal their potency in contemplation.*
